Cedar Hill quarterback Damion Hobbs was simply too good to fall through the cracks.
Hobbs – who led Cedar Hill Texas to the 5A Division II state final – orally committed to Oregon on Wednesday, snatching up a late-minute offer from one of the nation’s premier collegiate programs.
The University of Oregon and the Virginia Cavaliers have scheduled a home and home football series, that according to the Oregon football office Monday afternoon.
Having never met in football, the Ducks and Cavaliers will meet in 2013 and again in 2016.
In a statement released by the University of Oregon football office, redshirt sophomore James Scales has been dismissed from the football program for violating team rules.
The statement was released late Saturday afternoon providing little information only saying Scales, from Greensboro, N.C has been dismissed from the football program by new head coach Mark Helfrich.
Just 24 hours after Mark Helfrich was named as Oregon’s new head coach, reports have surfaced sophomore quarterback Bryan Bennett will leave the program and enroll at Southeastern Lousiana University.
According to a report by Duck Territory and CBS Sports.com, Bennett visited the school in Hammond, Louisiana over the weekend and plans to enroll in classes tomorrow ( Tuesday ).
