The high school football career of Oregon recruit ( RB ) Dontre Wilson ended Saturday night as his DeSoto Eagles ( DeSoto, Texas ) lost 51-36 in the Texas 5A Division l semi-final game to area rival Allen High School of Allen, Texas.
In his final high school game, Wilson rushed for just 39 yards due in most part to a high ankle sprain that he sustained a week earlier in his teams win against Southlake Carroll.
In Saturday’s loss, Wilson found the end zone twice – a 1 yard rushing score and a 21 yard screen pass for a score.
After the game, an extremely disappointed Wilson spoke with Oregon Duck Football News about the loss and looking beyond his high school football days as he gets set to play for Chip Kelly and the Ducks in 2013.
