As the lights begin to dim on the 42nd Annual Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, much of the post game discussion now revolves around Oregon head coach Chip Kelly and what his future coaching plans might be in the coming year.

In Thursday’s post game press conference deep inside of University of Phoenix Stadium, Kelly told reporters he wants to wrap the process up quickly so he and everyone involved knows where they’ll be in the coming month.

“I really don’t have any preconceived notions about it” said Kelly when asked about the attraction to the NFL and the interview process.

“I think that’s what this deal is all about for me.  It’s not going to affect us in terms of we’re not on the road.   I’ll get an opportunity if people do call, see where they are.   I want to get it wrapped up quickly and figure our where I’m going to be.”

While we may not know in the coming days or weeks where Kelly will be wearing his coaching headset next fall, he was able to express to reporters what his time in Eugene has meant to him since he arrived 6 years ago.

“I think it just really for me reaffirms what this place is all about” explained Kelly when asked about Oregon fans chanting his name after the game.

“It’s a special place with special people.  They accepted me six years ago when I was at New Hampshire.  Not many people knew about me.  Gave me an opportunity to come here.  It really means a lot.”
