When Mark Helfrich was named as Oregon’s new head football coach on January 20th, the question quickly emerged – Would Helfrich be able to retain the solid recruiting class former coach Chip Kelly and the Duck staff had assembled before Kelly departed for the NFL.

That answer came Wednesday morning – a resounding yes!

Even though Oregon lost 4-star recruit Dontre Wilson to Ohio State on Monday, the Ducks showed they could do some pilfering of their own by landing two highly rated players that were targeted to other programs – namely DE Terrodney Prevot and OL Cameron Hunt.

Both Prevot and Hunt have signed their “Letters of Intent” and submitted them to the University of Oregon.

Prevot, ( 6’3 – 200 lbs ) from Alief Taylor High School in Houston, Texas, is a 4-Star athlete and rated as the No. 7 defensive end in the country by Rivals.com.

Early on, Prevot provided a verbal commitment to USC, but later was said to be leaning toward signing with Texas A&M.

After a late effort by the Oregon staff, the Ducks were successful in landing the talented defensive lineman.

Oregon’s offensive line also secured a huge boost when the Ducks received an “LOI” from offensive lineman Cameron Hunt.

Hunt had previously commited to California, but softened on the Bears of late.   Hunt then showed interest in Michigan and Oklahoma, but ultimately chose Oregon giving the Ducks another 4-Star recruit and its fifth quality offensive lineman in this 2013 class.

Also signed today were twin athletes Tyree & Tyrell Robinson who were thought to be wavering from their Oregon commitment in the last week.

Below is a current list of Oregon signee’s;

Devon Allen  ( WR ) – Phoenix, Az.
