For those of you who are easily amused, and most are when it comes to Puddles the Oregon Duck, you’ll be happy to know he and his trusty entourage are on their way to Phoenix for the 42nd Annual Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

Puddles and his driver Jeff left Eugene early Wednesday morning traveling in the Duck truck headed to the Arizona desert.

When the Duck travels, it’s always entertaining and certainly an adventure.

On day one of the pairs journey, there was a brief stop in Phoenix Oregon – an obvious disappointment to Puddles when he learned they were still in Oregon and not in the warmth of the Arizona desert.

The pair also made a fast food stop that caused quite stir among customers.   All went well however when Puddles took time out to take pictures and shake hands with appreciative Duck fans.

OREGON PRACTICE NOTES

For the first time since the Oregon Ducks arrived in Arizona, Chip Kelly and his team took the practice field on Thursday morning for a scheduled one hour and forty five minute workout.

The Ducks are holding their Arizona practice sessions at Pinnacle High School, the same location they practiced at in 2010 when they prepared for Auburn in the BCS national championship game.

Thursday’s practice was closed to the media so information coming out of today’s practice is extremely limited.   According to Kelly, from Wednesday’s opening day remarks, the Ducks practiced in full pads today and will do so again on Friday.

Friday’s practice session is open to the media for the first 15 minutes, however player and coach interviews won’t be allowed until the team returns to their hotel in the early afternoon.
