The kickoff against Stanford is now less than a week away!
And no matter what obstacles have transpired over these last six months, the kickoff will come next Saturday and the No. 14 ranked Ducks better be ready.
And they are according to head coach Mario Cristobal.
“Yeah they are, they’ve been for a while,” said Cristobal when asked if his team was prepared to take on the Cardinal next Saturday in the season opener.
“You’re always going to look for more polished execution, right? You want to make sure your eye discipline, your technique, your fundamentals,…your pad level – you know all those things that show up early in football games.
We’ve had the benefit of watching other teams so that should stoke your fire a little bit more and let you know, that hey, we can’t afford to walk into this and make it look like game one,…we have to practice and prepare in a way and a fashion that’s going to make this feel like game number three of four. So those are the kind of results we’re looking for”
