( POSTGAME ) DAN LANNING DISCUSSES 41-20 WIN OVER BYU – “Bo made great decisions today,…Each week he gets more and more confident in what we’re trying to accomplish”

Based solely on the rankings, the Cougars of BYU were supposed to stroll into Autzen Stadium Saturday and beat the 25th-ranked Ducks.

The national rankings aren’t always what they’re made out to be and neither are the prognostications of the college football pundits.

Most of the college football experts on ESPN’s GameDay Show Saturday morning chose BYU to win this game.

As Oregon head coach Dan Lanning said in his postgame briefing, his team doesn’t worry about the outside noise, especially when it comes to his quarterback.

“I think our team’s really good at ignoring the outside noise,” said Lanning.

“We only worry about the opinions in our room. There’s nobody that’s ever lost confidence in this building and in Bo, including Bo and his ability to go play for us.”

Prior to meeting the Cougars this week, Lanning outwardly told reporters he thought he’d have a better idea of where exactly the Ducks are after playing highly ranked BYU.

After the game, Lanning dove headfirst into his thoughts about where he feels his team is at.

“I know this,…I know we’ll work” explained Lanning.

“Where we’re at as a team I still think there’s something to be decided. You’re only as good as your last game. And you’re only as good as your last play. You’ve gotta live in the moment. We’re not resting on our laurels. We’ve got a lot of things we can go work on. But we have a team that will work.”
