Success follows consistency.
You can use that mantra in most any sport or business.
While the Ducks are showing they can play fast in difficult practices, Lanning points to consistency in those practices that will showcase how good this Ducks team can really be.
“You know, I don’t know if it was consistent enough at the level that we want” explained Lanning on Saturday after practice number ten of fall camp.
“We have really high expectations for what we want. At times we were really really good and at times we weren’t. So we have to be more consistent.”
Saturday was another scrimmage practice inside of Autzen Stadium which is where Lanning hopes to see the largest jump in improvement.
“At times of both sides of the ball, yes,…and at times definitely not,” said Lanning when asked if he saw what he was hoping to see.
“There were times we weren’t lined up properly,….there were times we didn’t execute properly which has a little bit to do with who’s in on both sides of the ball. But it also has a little bit to do with us having a sense of urgency in the way we prepare.”
