Utah was beaten soundly by Oregon.
That was the postgame message from Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham when he met the media Saturday evening after his Utes were outplayed to the tune of 35-6.
And even then, Whittingham said the score wasn’t indicative of how bad his team was beaten by the Ducks.
“Not a lot of positives in that game” explained Whittingham.
“That’s as thoroughly and as soundly as we’ve been beaten in a long time – particularly at home here. Give Oregon credit,…they are a complete football team just as I’ve been saying all week long.
“Tremendous talent, size, quickness, athleticism, depth,…both sides of the ball. They took it to us and we really didn’t get much done in any phase of the game.”
