Breaking the game of college football down to the basics is easy for first-year head coach Dan Lanning.
He teaches in a way that makes it easy for every position on the team to learn from their mistakes and mold their efforts into winning football.
“We said we wanted to do simple better” explained Lanning after Saturday’s 70-14 drubbing of Eastern Washington.
“And this week was all about doing simple better. It was about fundamentals and technique. I think you saw a lot of that show up in the game. That being said, there’s certainly some plays out there that we want back,….some of our players want back.
“We’d love to clean up some of the penalties. Execute a couple of things better.”
