(HALFTIME) OREGON LEADING EWU 42-7 – This is The Duck Team Lanning and Staff Expected

It’s always difficult to judge how a team does against a lesser opponent, but Oregon is doing what it was expected to do with a team like Eastern Washington.

The Ducks scored a touchdown on all six of their possessions to take a dominating 42-7 halftime lead over the Eagles.

Bo Nix has looked like a senior quarterback with his 81 percent pass completions, going 22-of-27 for 212 yards, four touchdowns and more importantly, no interceptions.

So far, tight end Terrance Ferguson has looked like an All-Pac-12 player with his two touchdowns so far.

The second score bailed out Nix as the pass should have been picked off, but Ferguson caught the tipped ball, went through a defender, spun away, and found the end zone.

It’s also been a rush-by-committee type of game for the Oregon offense with six different tailbacks receiving carries.

Out of the six, Mar’Quise Irving has been the most impressive with his 58 yards on just six carries and a touchdown.
