(POST-GAME) DAN LANNING GIVES HIGH PRAISE TO HIS TEAM IN 36-27 WIN OVER USC, BUT ALSO SHARES DISAPPOINTMENT IN PENALTIES – “Disappointed a little bit in our finish because I think we’re a much better team than what we showed down the stretch”

If you were to look at the box score and noticed Oregon was ticketed with 13 penalties for 120 yards Saturday night against a talented USC team you’d likely think the Trojans might have come away a winner.

Fortunately for Dan Lanning that wasn’t the case as his Ducks notched their ninth win of the season and sixth in conference play taking down USC 36-27.

And while the Ducks did win to keep their Pac-12 Championship hopes alive, Lanning

“At the end of the day the amount of penalties was too much and we’ve talked about it a couple of times up here before” said Lanning after the game when asked about the exorbitant amount of flags against his team.

“We do different things at practice to try and attack it. We have to make a decision of how good do we really want to be and it hurts us. It didn’t kill us tonight but there was some critical ones in there tonight that certainly didn’t help.”
